After the appearance of a brilliant fireball moving from west to east and subsequent detonations, over 500 stones, the largest weighing 36 kilograms, fell on an area 2 miles long by 1 mile wide. This is specimen #M55.2 from the Oscar E. Monnig Collection, with Ward's Natural Science Establishment of Rochester, New York, provenance.
